Sounds convincing. All messages via text only. Asks for a DD check to be done on MY car (never heard of a DD check). HPI checks are the norm and told him as such. Put 2+2 together and worked out it has to be a scam as it seemed too good to be true. A buyer wanting to buy the car without seeing the car???? ALARM BELLS come to mind. Told him to pay me the cost of the DD check before hand. If any discrepancies, I will refund him and add compensation for his troubles. Not heard back since. As other people have said, it clearly is a scam.

thank god I looked up this number and read all of this, the red flags where when he asked to meet to look at car, and then wanted me to do a dd check, when I asked was one was I done a check but didn't pay anything sent him screen shots of the check I done then haven't heard back. Trust your gut

NASTY SCUM. please avoid this person, tries to sell you a car check and wastes a lot of your time. i lost money by not going to work today waiting in for them to come. have reported them to the national crime agency and fraud uk police. hope karma gets them.

Had a car for sale said I needed a dd report before he would buy the car .would not tell me were he was based . So told him to buy a car elsewhere !

An old car I had for sale was asking for an SMW check to be sent, not the usual questions about a car for sale, then I looked it up on here and saw it was a scam.

Messaged me asking for a NCG report on a vehicle I have for sale. I tell any prospective buyer to feel free to do there own checks. When told him to do this he became very funny about this and stated it was my own thing to do in order to sell the vehicle . This is clearly a scam and goes by the name Harry, obviously a fake name. I tried to call the number but calls were rejected

Saying his name is Harry and to order an NGC report from Carlab Portal online. Told him to purchase the report himself but he’s being very persistent in me the seller to order one for him so I told him to do one!
