Same scam as already mentioned. Selling a car on Gumtree, contacted to try and coerce me into paying for a worthless non existent car report.

In line with other very pushy to get me to pay for report for car I have for sale using Carlabportal.co.uk. If you check image associated Whatapp account for this number, profile photo is stolen from Intragram profile for someone based in Vancouver called Seth.

I was contacted from this number as I was selling my car on Gumtree, his name was Ethan?? asked for a CLP report from Carlabportal.co.uk he sent a email address for the report to be sent, of course once I paid for this he went quiet when I looked at scams on the trustpilot site it was full of this scam, I contacted my bank who will bring a dispute to get the money back, of course at £24.99 its the principle not the money, I contacted Carlabportal and had messages back and forth saying how they were a legitimate business!! and they would get their "Legal Team" onto it and if mine was a genuine complaint I would get a full refund!!!! I took screen shots and have reported this to Action Fraud, I contacted CarLabportal today in the same way but they then did not respond, looks like the whole site is a SCAM, I've since received middle finger texts from "Ethan", I'll be taking this to the police now....

Scam. More dishonest rather than dangerous, but you never know. I'm currently selling my private car. I've been contacted via a text message from this number, first with generic questions about meeting up for a viewing, which then changed to requests to send them a "CLP report". On asking what this was they said it's a better, more reliable version of a HPI report, obtainable from <carlabportal.co.uk>. They sell those reports for £25-£30 per report. The whole conversation is obviously dishonest and only aims at you buying an overpriced digital product on a suspiciously dodgy looking website.
